Nourhane El-Kady is a designer, illustrator and traditional artist based in Cairo. She is a 2023 graduate of the Jameel House of Traditional Arts in Cairo, where she specialised in brass work. She previously studied architecture and urban design at the German University in Cairo. As a brass work artist, Nourhane focuses on brass engraving. She has conducted several brass engraving workshops at Bayt Yakan and Al-Qalm, and has worked on large-scale projects as a designer for Dar Arafa Architecture, including 'Modern Glyphs', a modern take on ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics crafted in brass for the reception mural of La Maison D'Egypte, in Paris.
The scope of Nourhane’s work as an illustrator covers editorial, educational and children’s book illustration. She has taken part in exhibitions such as Cairo Prints 4, Roznama 7 in Egypt and MSF Speakink in Beirut.
