Ismahane Elouafi

Ismahane Elouafi is the executive managing director of CGIAR. She was previously the chief scientist of the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO).

Ismahane holds a bachelor's degree in agricultural sciences and a master's degree in genetics and plant breeding from Hassan II Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine in Morocco, and a PhD in genetics from the University of Cordoba in Spain.
