Ahmed K. AbuLaban is the city director of Ramallah, a position he has held since 2006. Alongside this role, Ahmed is the chief resilience officer at the Resilient Cities Network, and was elected to be a member of the Global Steering Committee (GSC) of R-Cities representing Middle East and Europe. Ahmed is also a member of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) and was nominated to be a member of the ICMA International Committee.
Previously, he has held positions as the administrative director of the municipality of Ramallah, a consultant at the World Bank, and was awarded a fellowship in the Humphrey International Fellowship Program at the University of Minnesota in 2004-2005.
Ahmed holds a bachelor’s in business administration from Bir Zeit University.
