Egyptian Food Bank: Addressing the causes and repercussions of women's food insecurity
As part of its International Women's Day activities, the Egyptian Food Bank hosted a panel addressing 'The role of women in achieving food security in Egyptian society' to highlight the causes and repercussions of women's food insecurity. The session focused on the organisation's strategy to support women's food security through specialised programmes, policy proposals and partnership with scientific foundations, and was attended by representatives from the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation, the United Nations Children's Fund, the United Nations Women and the National Research Centre.
